VLC Player

If you have a VLC Player, just extract the file to your preferred folder or Desktop , then in the VLC player select MEDIA-->Open file-->find your file select it and press Open thats it

You can open all supported files that you store locally on your computer in this way (movies ,ch lists etc)

If you find a working stream and want to use that instead of a ready made channel list then you select Media-->Open Network Stream ->/NETWORK TAB/

Paste the address in there and press play

hope it helps to get you started, The VLC is highly intuitive , so you will get the hang of it in no time.

A. No, they are not intended for Spiderbox.

This type of links only work in SimpleTv Player on your PC or a Linux box (after some modification to the links)
If a suitable links for Spiderbox come up we are trying to convert them to Spiderbox friendly format and post them in the Spiderbox forum.

Thanks Roadrunner. How do you play these in VLC? I'm struggling with VLC. Can usually stream through it fine but for some reason I don't think it likes links with spaces in them. Is there a work around for this? Also same in XBMC.

Its ok, easy to get confused with those files. I am learning as I go too :) Trying to keep up with all the different file types aint easy.My lists are somewhat amateurish too but that is all I ve got to share for now. When I learn more I will share more :)

Some are excellent quality , some just watchable. To help with sorting I`ve set the Ext filter to Eng and not England like before,
So when you load them to the SimpleTv player they will come up as a new group called `Eng`. See which ones you want to keep and then drag and drop them to your favourite group, and when you are done just delete the group called ENG

File corrupts after loading to the Simple Tv player. It only needs one header (the #EXTM3U) but it has three (the other two are between the lines in the file ) Its causing the lines to corrupt after the second header in the file. Also the channels get scattered on the main playlist since its missing the $ExtFilter="..." next to the header ( the channels get loaded to the main screen in a different order than on the file, and not the sport folder + several are coming up corrupted) . Not really a Simple Tv file but easily rectified to be one :)

You need to use the Simple TV Player on your PC to view those files, the Simple TV Player File can be found in post#8 in this thread.

I think adding the filter for simpletv on the playlist is stopping it playing on MAG 250 IPTV player.

For example #EXTM3U $ExtFilter="Sports" removing $ExtFilter="Sports" will make it work on the MAG 250, use notepad++ to edit and then save and load it see if that works.

For a test I have used blackdevil's Test69.ipt and made a simpltv list with the filter and one without try one without the filter see if it works streams were still working at time of post.

Yes I do realise that is the idea mate - but funnily enough 'some' files DO actually play ok - as already explained to our friend Roadrunner - but unfortunately most do not!
Its just that I had been hoping that IPTV boxes were a good idea - instead of having to put it all through your pc with the extra 'complications' etc - making it more difficult to play through your TV which I much prefer!
I dont like watching TV on my pc - e.g. SlyGo - as my eyes are dim, etc etc!!! lol!!
My MAG 250 is brilliant for most things - plays all my previous downloads from my 2T external hard disc - PLUS photos & music files - but not most of these darned 'Simpe TV' files!

Obviously its great for the TV content too - but have OBVIOUSLY been trying to avoid having to PAY for them - all as per the basic principles of our illustrious website!!

Yes thanks Addo mate, I do realise that - but as I've already stated ('somewhere') I dont want to have to watch TV from my PC, so that a no-no method for me!

Thanks for this stuff. When I download these files on my laptop they download as php files. When I download on my desktop they download as zip files. This is not a massive problem as I rename the php files as zip file and then they open as normal, but it is a bit of a pain. Anyone know why this happens?

Everything seemed ok for me using seagate1's update file, even Pink worked great, but was on channel below NTV Sport and it all clagged up on my TM5402HD M3, so attempted to delete all channels but told me IPTV file was full - also cndf files full - so had to Factory reset and reload latest patch 126P and all now ok again!
However will avoid this update IPTV file and revert to only xxxxxx Sat Hobby latest file!

Wel M8 I have just tried that text file and it opened OK for me with wordpad in Windows 7 Ultimate, so it would appear that it is something at your end causing the problem, maybe your AVG or Trojan Remover settings are blocking it. ???

Thanks Aldo. So is it supposed to be a 'text' file (i.e. just a 'list' only) or an IPTV folder for loading on to a device etc?
Sorry if haven't explained properly.

PS: Think I've probably answered my own query, that it IS a list only, of all the urls at/with which to find the IPTV 'streams'!
Just that I'm familiar with xxxxxx's 'IPTV Files' which are NOT in that form and actually load on to a device which is set up to handle these files more 'directly' without the need for the user to have to manually enter the links!
Hope you understand what I'm trying to explain here? lol!!

You can not upload a php file to simple player, you will have to change your browser, and this query has already been answered in this thread

@roadrunner i can remember a while ago you explained in this thread how to create a m3u file, but since its been cleaned up its gone. is it possible you can write the guide out again please or any other member, i cannot for the life of me remember how to do its bee a long time since i done 1, i used to do them with roadrunner any help please, thank you.
