64 year old newbie needs a little help please

To help members answer your post could you tell them..
Do you have a motorised dish or a fixed dish?
What satellites are you trying or want to watch?
What channels would you like to try and see? (remember you can't talk about 28.2 E Thats the UK one)

dont know how it names them on the 6000hd, on my tm5302hd it names them sports active but try the $ channels that are just numbers until you are greeted with a test card. regards mdt

Since he has posted in Spiderbox 6000 HD, we assume that's what he's got.

Go to this _http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html and identify the channels you are after. Note the corresponding transponder frequency in the left column. Now go to your Spiderbox menu, and find manual search. Enter the transponder details then search and save channels.

OK Tried that on my spiderbox 6000HD . Don't seem to be getting anywhere , could you explain what channel and what red button please? ( you do have a spiderbox 6000 HD? :001_302: )

Take manual search on 12070 H SR 27500 > as mdt says they comes up as Sports Active channels..

Thank's for that ,makes more sense than red button lol ( there was no info to what the newbie 64 was used to and what sat he was on?) I may be younger than 64 but I have not used sly box for about 7 years and did not have a clue what the red button had to do with the spider lol Can understand now cheers... (good info found straight away.)

many apologies guys,i have the spiderbox hd6000,the football first channels are individual channels ,each shows a different game on a saturday night but on my old eagle box they only came up as numbers and i cannot find them on the spiderbox.many thanks and any help appreciated,chedd
