You may have to try Google for Spiderbox 5000 User Manual, as I did not see one on this forum, however the setup procedure can be found here:

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?130685-Spiderbox-5000-SD-Beginners-Set-up-Guide

and this one too

clarrie have you lost yours?

no never had one. When put in last week i asked for manual and was given story of how confusing and useless it was (obviously thought I am a dodery old woman and would be put off) being a silver surfer thought I'd find one online and as I had to provide batteries for remote decided waste of time talking to them.

Receiver came in tatty box but was sealed and protective film on front so was satisfied it was a new one. however I think they got it as a bargain somewhere. Works perfectly got it so my husband can watch Egypt from Hotbird and the reception is perfect. It would be nice to understand how remote works though and also what box capabilities are. Also curious if I can stream films through internet connection on box and if so how.

As I couldn't find a manual for Spiderbox 5000-SD hoped a forum would be a good place to try.

Hope you can help.

I think you will need a 6000 if you wanted to stream films, because the 6000 has IPTV streaming

the 5000 is an old box and is a basic box for SD channels, so ok for fta sat channels but not much good for anything else

I suppose if you get the 6000 manual from our spiderbox Guides section , use that for most details and ignore anything about streaming or HD channels etc it should be good enough as a reference guide
