sorry spurskev i owned a spider 9000, perhaps you havent saved your diseq settings or set them up correctly. have you tried using usals it is an easier option i believe.

Hi
If you follow the setup guide that has been made for the Spiderbox 6000HD, you will find it simple, repeat the guide again.

spurs it shows you how to do this in the set up guide as suggested by jbvid. all you need to do is find your lat and long first. assuming your dish is set up correctly.

Diseqc isn't the easy option, Usals is. If you are setting up with Diseqc you need to find/locate each Satellite manually and store its position, with Usals you only need to find your reference Sat (Thor) in the UK then enter your Long Lat co-ords, job finished.

copied from aldos set up guide.

Go to Menu / Sat Settings, scroll down the left hand list and click OK to select all the Sats you want to scan, this will give them a tick.
Right arrow across, scroll down to Motor, right arrow to select ‘Diseq/Usals’, OK, Scroll down to Mode, select Drive to Satellite, scroll down to Set Location, OK, Scroll down Set Long then Lat then save, scroll to Go ‘Save Data and run’ thats it.

Because you can't be doing it correctly, print it out then read it again.

If you have done nothing to the box then your guess is as good as ours? If you have loaded a channel list or something else then your motor controls will be reset to the posters settings?

thank have done this a few times why should it keep doing this.

just a note to sat all this info was also given last september https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?163670-latitude-and-longitude as regards using usals (as usals is easier than diseqc v1.2) on your 6000 , and a year before that on your 9000 in post #6 https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?157850-10-east

if only you would learn how to setup the box using the menu for usals and for diseqc v1.2 and follow those instructions in the aldo sticky thread here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?162474-Setup-Guide-for-Spiderbox-6000HD and also the reiteration by jbvid (and others like hianta who produces a video guide to the 6000) I am sure that you would learn more , I know I have

I rarely use diseqc v1.2 as usals is so much easier and means I can use any box on my dark motor in usals mode using the same longitude and latitude setting on each and every box

I dont have the 6000 so cannot test it but have seen numerous posts on here complaining about the 6000 setup and generally speaking the owners are not following the instructions , although in the case of heyho it didnt help that he had a faulty dark motor that needed use of a 9000 to prove where the fault lay

the people who have replied in this thread all seem to be on the same page, so I would follow their instructions , especially with usals because with diseqc v1.2 you have to find and store each sat one at a time

6000 setup guide here too https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?161756-Setup-Guide-for-Spiderbox-6000HD

It is time that the OP stopped comparing the spiderbox 6000 with the spiderboxs 7000 - 9000 or 9900, and start reading the 6000 setup procedure in its entirity, and not just guessing that what he has done before will do for this receiver, as they differ in numerous ways, just my opinion for what it is worth.

Just a small point, all motors by now should be USALS compatible but it was not uncommon just a few years ago to find motors that were DiseqC only. So just how old and what make of motor do you have?
