Tomtom Go 300 and Maps of Major Roads of Europe

I have a Tomtom Go 300 and have been given a CD with major Roads of Europe on it. I successfully added the maps to the Tomtom but Tomtom says I need to activate the maps.

I thought that if you had the CD the maps could be added without an activation code. I tried Easy Activator but with no luck.

Can anybody give me some help in getting the maps activated. I suspect they are quite old as it's coming up with V314 on Tomtom Home.

When ever you use any copied map you need to have the navcore patched & the map must be activated using any of the activation tools available.
What version of Navcore ?
What map & version number ?
Has navcore been patched ?

I did realise that navcore needs patched and maps need activated when copying maps but as I had the cd I assumed this was not needed.

I'm using Navcore 7.903

CD Map is GB plus Major Roads of Europe. Version 390

Navcore was patched with Easy Activator 6.15. Maps were also activated with this.
