Channel editor favourites import help

Just noticed that some of my favourites have moved so have opened my list in the channel editor. If I want to update the changed channels, I thought I could do that by re-importing favourites, but this doesn't seem to be updating. Obviously I have mis-understood this process so can anyone shed any light on if this is possible. Or do I have to re scan everything??

basically I thought I could just upload my channels from usb stick into channel editor, and then click on import fvourites and this would then bring in the channels that have changed and lay them into my list. Is it a case of manually overtyping??

Must admit that I could not import a favourite folder from a previous channel list*, having read some posts by member Blackdevel a new channel editor is being worked on and will be released when it's ready.
I think we will have to wait for the new editor.

*Not quite true as a few channels did import correctly but the bulk did not import.
