Technmate 5402 HD MK2 - Help with adding a new channel list

I have downloaded a new channel list from the internet and need to know how I put these on the technomate.

I have copied the file to USB and go into the main menu, click on USB and the transfer file, not sure what to do next. There are 4 options.

Any ideas?

is the model name incorrect ?

I thought it would be the 5402 ?

yes my mistake. been using a dreambox 500 for years without any problems until it died last week. so purchased the tm5402hd mk2. Still not figured out what I am doing wrong though. I have downloaded the channels listing from Vhannibal E2 and saved to a USB. USB in back of technomate and then followed your instructions. For some reason when I press ok nothing happens??? Any ideas?

the TM5402 is a bespoke box and doesnt use E2 so you cannot use the E2 channel lists like hannibals or catseye

you need the TM5000 lists for the tm5000 HD series and blade series, not E2 lists

you must have missed this in post #2

you can also use the recent powercisco tmsoftcam for channels like bulsat on 39e

thank you for your help, I have loaded the channel list from your sticky, should it group the channels like the Vhannibal lists (movies, sport etc)?

I have no idea how those people have grouped their lists but I know you can do it yourself using the menu buttons and channel editor to add your channels into the favs and then sort them manually up or down

one final question ,should I be able to use dcc? The technomate won't connect via dcc is this correct?

that is correct, no linux E1 or E2 tools will connect to the tm, totally different box and operating system

so no dcc

no dreamup

no dreamboxedit

no dreamset

etc
