Hi I have been searching the forum on how to set up my favs list as all I get when pressing the fav key is Fav off.Can anybody tell me how I turn it on

You can to setup your favourites in the Channel Editor - Tools - Save Favourites, your still not very good at reading the forum even though you have been a member for almost 6 years, there was also this thread:

Dear ALDO Just to let you no,I searched on the site for about 2hrs before posting my ?. I am clearly not doing it right.If you have the time give me some pointers on how to find things, I typed in the search at the top of the page, "favourites" but that came back nothing found. Any help would be appreciated.

No need to search the site you have been given all the best links and pointers available, backtrack and try again till you get it right, also have a look at some premade channel lists.
