I have folowed the recovery instructions to the letter with port settings etc
The programme starts and I press space bar every 5 seconds
loads of data streem on the screen but not got to the stage of instructions to pick option 2 or load file
I am using Windows XP and let the programme run for 15 minutes pressing space every 5 seconds
Any help appreciated

Where did u read the 5 secs lnfo...

I may be wrong but , try 10 or more taps in 5 secs...

It's more like .5 sec that is point 5 sec
If you watch part 2 of film you can hear the space bar being hit and see the results. good luck

Thanks for info my miss reading now got to stage of 3 choices picked no2
upgrade with application xmodem
now i have a constant stream of CCCCCCCCCCCC nothing happening after 10 mins

make sure its a null modem cable you are using and connected directly to the xp pc, no usb adapters

there should be a menu after pressing the number 2

I have altered that set of instructions to include the words (half a second) , for clarity

OK ? Good to hear you got it sorted and I'm sure you will now know It's just a matter of running through the procedure a few times and sorting out how quickly you run through it?
BUT? You have me interested about the wireless point?
What is the wireless got to do with this procedure or how did you do it to include the wireless connection?
Sorry if I have misunderstood lol

beats me too as the wireless doesnt come into it

all that is needed is an xp pc , serial com port and a null modem cable , no wireless , no internet

Sorry should have explained a bit more
My main computer is Vista so I couldnt use that to run programme
My old computer with XP on I used to run the programme
I had a fault on my old computer sometime ago where one was conflicting agains to other for some unknown reason
I didnt bother getting it seen to as didnt need it so I just came to the conclusion that this was the problem
All sorted now
