Can anyone clarify - if you "lock everything", that is channels AND menu access with a password, is there any way to get back into software update, or a complete reset WITHOUT re-flashing the box with a null modem cable if by chance password is lost/forgotten or even corrupted by, say a power surge ? This is certainly the most secure way of stopping youngsters getting onto "undesirable" channels, or from making setup changes, but if the above cannot be done, it looks a bit dangerous to me. An alternative - to just "lock" certain channels will allow you back in via channel editor to unlock them again !! Also - even the total lock does not block the IPTV option, and as we all know there is some "interesting" material on there !! Apart from this, I must say that the support for the box, and this forum, is bordering on excellent - the channel editor is a breeze to use, I created a full list of satellites from 1 west round to the FTA stuff on 28 east, and then sorted by programme provider and alphabetically. Brilliant, and far better than scanning in manually. I'm wondering what else can possibly be on the horizon !! Keep it up and a massive thanks to everyone involved in their hard work.
