Can someone please let me know if I can swap over my SB 9000
From one motorised dish to another
Using the same settings in the 9000

yes if they are in the same rough location
if they arent , the usals would need changing accordingly
so if you were in one part of leeds and were trying it in another part of leeds the usals can remain the same, meaning no changes need to be made
but if you were moving from leeds to lincoln or liverpool then some usals changes would have to be made to fit the new location
the channel list is largely unaffected unless personal preference dictated you find and use the regional channels so if I use somebody elses list I have to find and use granada tv and bbc1 northwest and bbc2 north as they are my local transmitter channels

Many thanks echelon
The dishes are about 4 yards apart
If I set the SB on Thor then disconnected it
Then connect it to the motor on a tripod
Providing the dish on the tripod was pointing at Thor
Do you think this would work. ???

Hi
Yes, that will work but I am not too sure about a motor on a tripod tracking the arc very well (ie being stable and accurate enough) unless you are going to use it fixed to Thor only, if so it won't need a motor, is your other dish motorized? do you need 2 motorized setups?

Thank you jdvid
Yes the dish on the tripod is motorized[ Darkman Motor
I am trying to set this up for use when we take our caravan away
Will I have to set the motor up for each satellite inturn
Or can I plug and play

Hi
To be honest you will struggle to setup 'on site' certainly if using a motor, but by all means have a go. Also remember the caravan site location will be different to your base location so the usals motor will need the new caravan sites long/lat when there. Members have used on site dishes but only on the Astra (strong signal Sats) which are easier to locate. I would first start without the motor on tripod and see how you get on with Astra or Hotbird.

That's how I started just using 1LNB on 28e in the caravan with a DB 500s
Then the next step was two LNBs 1on 28e and other on 13 e with a DB 500s
Now I am trying to upgrade to motorized dish and a Spiderbox 9000 HD
I am replacing the SB with a VU Duo [ If I can set it up that is ]
Yes I understand about each campsite in setting the dish up
I have spent a few hours doing that
I have an Ipad with a compass in it I use that to set up dish just enter post code
If you want the footy then you have too
