My motor & dish got blown off durring the high winds. I recently set it up again only for the dish and motor to pushed round by 45 degs again. I have since tried to set it up again although I can find the satellites and use the store button to save the positions, When I check for strength and quality it does not show anything. Yet when I was setting them (sats) up it I was getting 95 -98 strength and 77 - 86 quality and getting a good clear channel/picture.
when I choose a sat say Hotbird the dish does not move in auto and will not move in auto to any sat East or West. It will move in manual with the remote or with the buttons on the motor itself, but it does not find any sat
I would like to know where to start to correct it. it is just not storing the satellites. If I just set it up for Thor 0.8 and no other sats it will stay in that position; but once I try to store another sat I loose them both altogether. Any help would most appreciated.

Do you go to reference first which sets the motor at zero, check the dish is pointing due south then nudge it a little west to get thor and store and build from there

Hi geoffh
Thanks for the reply.
I should have stated that I allways set my dish up for Thor @ 0.8 then do a blind search and save. I then check if the channels are working ok. If they are; I then proceed to the next satellite and repeat the proccess. The problem I have is it is just not saving the satellite's positions.
"I do not know if the fault is the Icecrypt box, the tuners, the motor or the dish is at fault".
Any help would br gratefully received.

Unlikely to be the stb especially as it worked fine befor the dish was forceably moved by the wind I guess you could always do a flash clean and reload the Fw just to prove the point. Sounds like a motor issue but I'm no expert on how these things work.
Just had a thought have switched off the software limits?

Thanks again geoffh.:respect-047:
To be honest I would not know where or what if: it is switched on/off. I will have look at it tonight. I think you may be right about the motor I may have to beg ,steal or borrow one for the week-end to try it out.
Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again M8 and please let us know if you think of anything else.

Checked out all of what you said, but still will not save satellites positions. I will get myself a motor and try again over the week-end.

Just to follow up on my problem. I put a new motor on and all back to normal in time for our win at united.
Thanks to all, and keep up the good work.
