Updating Picons on USB stick

Morning,

A couple of questions.

What 'state' should the Duo be in prior to safely removing the USB stick from my box ? Does it need to be completely powered down, if so, whats the process for completely powering down the box (guessing you dont just physically switch off!!??)

I tried to FTP the Picons across from my PC however, I couldn't find the USB stick. I can see the HDD etc just not the USB ?

should be a shutdown option in the main menu (shutdown , restart , restart e2 etc)

the usb (if mounted) will be in the media folder and you should see it as well as the hdd

Great, I found the USB on the FTP !!

In terms of shut down I have the following options only.

Standby
Restart
Restart enigma
Deep standby

Can anyone give the definition of each of the above.......I'm a little confused !!!

What option should I choose for a complete shut down ?

switch the bugger off for complete refresh or restart enigma will suffice...
