Put new 140p in today , all working ok, until 6 hours later now I can only cycle as far as timer manager on the USB setting, volume will not work on HD channels, and some free channels are freezing.
Any Ideas? I have tried reloading the 140p again and now the USB menu only includes as far down as FAST SCAN amd OPTION which you cannot select

USB setting? Not too sure what you are saying here mate, especially as a number of people (myself included) have found patch 140P to be probably the best ever!
I wonder how you actually LOADED the patch? Did you:-
1) Back up Channel List
2) Factory Reset
3) Load patch 140P
4) Factory Reset
5) Switch power off at back for at least 40 secs
6) Load Add-on (unless its already there from previous time)
7) Factory Reset
8) Power off at back 40secs+ - unless no Add-on required!
9) Reload backed up Channel List
10) Load latest softcam
This could have avoided you many complications, including maybe what you have already found going wrong!f

"Fast Scan" and "Options" are not part of the USB menus as far as I recall. I think there's a bug in the screen refresh/re-write section of the menu sub-routines. If you go to "System Information" then back to "USB" you don't get "Fast Scan" and "Options".

You should do a hard reset (take off from main socket for 1min or so) restart your stb....you should be now able to navigate your menu.
I also had some issue after loading 140p...same as you ! everything was mix up in the menu ! (system info/usb/entertainment and so on...)
I have 2X TM5402, one was fine, the other had a bug like you describe. I have reloaded the patch exactly as written by holmroad above on both, since things seem to be ok.

My next big 'project' will be to set up my new TM5402HD M3 box when I finally get it on Saturday!!
Lots of 'goodies' extra on M3, including 2 x USB's, 100 Biss lines, IPTV access, brilliant Blind Scan (which most current TM's currently have anyway with latest Phantom patches!), etc etc - so will report back once all is 'absorbed'!!

You load same channel lsit and cs stuff.
Theirs nothing that will take more than 5 mins to do.
Cheers mate - but surely you must know ME by now!! lol!!
Seriously, its only a few weeks ago that I'd had my M2 repaired at TM, so its virtually identical to that - except a different patch of course!

Phantom did say Factory Reset after loading patch - but surely we always do that nowadays anyway?
Apparently M3 has 25 sats pre-loaded on so is it worth backing THAT up before loading my OWN channel list - just in case, to save messing about with future 'add sats' option?

Done all that now mate and fine so far with MY channel list!
However try as I could I couldn't get my CS Line to reload off USB stick so ended up having to enter manually!
Tried load s of variations on totally new Main Menu etc etc plus 8281 - yet had it working perfectly on M2 no probs!
IPTV works too, although so far only by using one provided - and not ALL lines worked - so still to try xxxxxx's version when get chance!
Different menu set up totally plus channel display, like it!
Both USB's fine - just like being back on old TM6900HD Super - apart from no terrestrial!
Prob ought to set up a new thread about M3, but still playing anyway!!
