Offset dish?

It may sound stupid but please help.

Is there a difference between a bog standard 1m sat dish and a 1m Offset Dish.

the reason I ask is I have just replaced my 1.2 triax with a Gilbertini 1m dish. I never had any problems setting up my previuos dishes; but this Gilbertini has me flumexed I just cannot find Thor 0n 0.8deg

as soon as I start to move the dish east with the motor it starts to go in a arc.

This is why I am asking is the a difference in an off-set dish? and do they need to be set up differently

Both the Triax TD110 and the Gibertini 1m are both Offset dishes, did you set the elevation scale to roughly what it was on the TD110 on the new Gibertini 1m as they both should be near enough or there abouts and only a slight tweak should be required to maximise signal

Sorry for the late feedback but been very busy. I have sorted out the problem; my dish to motor was very slightly out of line. I was able to set it to Thor 0.8d but once the motor moved it started to go off the arc and gave me lots of headaches until sorted. So now I really beleive why size is everthing.
