Okay. So I have a spiderbox 9000 hd, and we pay every three months for a single line.

Do I have to connect the box to a computer or laptop in order to update or add channels to it ?

Every now and again I get 'scrambled channels' message showing on the screen. Is this because I need to find a new frequency.

Any help is appreciated.
Or any links to forum threads which may have already covered this topic.

a usb stick is used for updating the box, its rare that you connect a pc or laptop to it, usually that is to use the repair file only

the tutorials tell you how to do all this, as well as the sticky threads at the top of this forum too

if a channel fails due to needing retuning, then you retune it, if its down to the internet and cs , then thats a fact of life which we cannot allow for discussion here, only technical discussions are allowed here

bear in mind scrambled channels are encrypted channels, whereas retuning would be needed if you had no signal and quality (press info twice to check this)
