I have done a lot of boxes and not a novice, but one box keeps giving me the message 'this box is damaged contact seller'???? and displaying a 'secf'(I think it's that) on the display.
Does anybody else have this problem?
The box starts up normally and this does this after 5-10 minutes or so.
I know there is a recovery tool, but stupid me, I have thrown my rs232 cable away!!!

Hi
Does it still give the display fault with the LNB cable disconnected ? Have you tried patching it again or loading a different premade channel list. Failing that looks like a new cable purchase.

I had that one send it back to who supplied it and get another new one

New patches don't seem to make any difference and No, not tried the new channel list.
Think I will contact the seller tomorrow.

To be honest, with any respect,i haven't understand exactly your problem.
I 'll propose you a solution and i 'll wait your feedback.
First download 30/08 patch : https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?163203-Spiderbox-Smartbox-HD6000-Patch-30-08-2013
After do factory settings , download 29/04 patch : https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?166967-Spiderbox-Smartbox-HD6000-Patch-29-04-2014
(check every time Menu-System Info, to be sure).
Then do factory settings and at last download a channel list from here : https://www.satpimps.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?576-Channel-Lists

Have you checked your LNB cable connections? the SE CF could relate to a Short Circuit Fault.

I apologise for butting in on this thread, but is the information above just for the op who is having problems, or should a new spiderbox be loaded with the 30/8 patch before loading the latest one?

We have noticed that sometimes when you load the latest patch in a new receiver having official software there was a problem with our logo.
So i proposed in any case to load 30/08 first and then the latest.

I am posting this in case anybody else gets this same message
'this box is damaged contact seller'
they should do exactly what it says , not seek any forum advice until they have contacted the retailer and given the retailer the opportunity to deal with the problem (probably with a box swap out)
thanks
