5.1

Hi. When I play a movie avi file that contains a 5.1 audio track on my vu+ uno connected optically to my Yamaha 5.1 amp, the sound does not play as 5.1, it only comes through on 2 channels.
Are there any settings that I have missed?

I am running black pole.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Pixey - do other sources i.e. a satellite channel that broadcasts 5.1 go through to your amp ok?

Hi. I don't know as I haven't found any. Are there any free to air ones I can try?

go into your sound in the settings change to raw this is in your satelite box

Hi den123, thanks for that. The only setting I can find to do with sound is ac3/dts downmix, which is set to yes.

Is there a setting that I am missing?

Tri it on ac3 only, if it works you should be fine but if you get no sound check out the amp settings.

It only has ac3/dts downmix on or off. If I turn it off I get no sound at all. Amp is set correctly as far as I know because it is fine with dvd's etc..
