Help with Amiko

Hi all I hope this is in the right area if maybe the admin can delete or change it,a friend of mine asked me to give him a hand to set his box up,no probs off I go to give him a hand he had an Amiko Shd 8140 cxe,I knew absolutely nothing about and the condition got worse,if anybody could throw some light on how to get an Nline into it with a step by step introduction on how I would be greateful,regards Knacker
