Hi all, got a weird problem. I've got up a wavefrontier dish with 4 single lnb's pointing to different transponders. Now say I choose 19.2e; it'll scan the channels but when I want to scan 23.e or the other transponders it'll say no lnb (0% signal), so I have to switch the box off and switch back on to scan another sat but then 19.2e wont work until I switch the box off and back on.

So basically its acting like I can only use 1 feed and have to hard reboot to watch a different feed.

I hope all that made sense but its the only way I could describe it.

I'm new to disque so all advice is much appreciated.

What make/model receiver are you using?
Have you got the feeds set up correctly, using Diseqc 1.1, and assigned each LNB to the correct Diseqc port, 1, 2, 3, and 4?
Is this a new Disqc switch?

Hi Mickha, I've tried it on the Icecrypt S4000/S6000 and the S3700 but same problem persists. Each time I go to assign the ports I'll get signal for the very first sat I choose and nothing for the rest. Switch box off and back on then get signal for the next 1 I choose first but loose the 1st feed I had (ie, get feed for 19.2e but not the rest, switch box off and on then get feed for 23e but now loose 19.2e). Basically its only 1 sat/transponder at a time.

Brought it all 2nd hand and got it put up by local sat fitter and have been back to complain but always get a blind eye.

Diseqc switches are quite cheap, I've seen them for less than £5, so why not get a new one, with a guarantee, at least this will either confirm the Diseqc switch you have is either faulty, or the problem lies elsewhere

Thanks for that suggestion. I'll do that next before posting any further so can eliminate the Disque switch. Many thanks once again.

Cheap diseq switches have probs, sometimes you cant tune in a frequency at the crossover bands, as soon as I disconnect them all works ok, put them back and tuning probs are back.

Just one other thing to look at.

Some receivers don't send the full DiSEqC control string when changing channels. If the box setup has advanced options like "send full string on change of channel" - then select that (admittedly it shouldn't need to when staying onthe same LNB but it will help to diagnose the problem).

You can also get problems on DiSEqC if the cable from the receiver to the switch runs alongside a mains cable.

I'm also having trouble, I've got a second Dm800se in a bedroom, with a feed coming from my motorised dish and a feed from sky minidish, I've had problems getting both to work at the same time, selected diseq 1, assigned 28e to lnb2 and AB and the rest to lnb1 and AA, it works for five minutes, then I can't get 28e, what am I doing wrong?
