I have a new spiderbox 6000 and having a couple of glitches:

I i move from hotbird to astra 19.2e iks will not work all network settings ok

When i move back to hotbird it moves back but not fully although i have saved the sat position in the menu i have to adjust it manually to get the signal i had before iks will not work.

I do a factory reset and scan hotbird again finding 1461 channels iks works fine.

But after a couple of days same thing happens and have to do a factory reset and scan again.

I check all networking settings and all are fine when the problems occurs

I thought a Factory Reset only had to be done after a Patch/Software Update, and not after a TP or Sat scan, and it could be that your channel list has become corrupt, maybe you should try a new channel list.

Echelon: diseqc v1.2.

Aldo: I thought my channel list was corrupt and causing the problem,So i thought i would scan the sat manually to see if that was the problem.

Hi
First thing is to make sure your dish is not moving on its mountings, check clamps brackets etc for tightness. Secondly if you are motorized and with a suitable motor I would recommend setting up to Usals inputting your own Long/ Lat, if diseqc only you need to first setup/align your dish with the strongest FTA signal on one Satellite ie Astra, scan then store its position. Then move to your other Satellite ie Hotbird setup/align for strongest FTA signal scan then store its position/save.
With diseqc you really do need to be sure you are scanning the correct Satellite. (compare your scanned channel names from someone elses channel list)

Thats strange, I have had similar problems lately. After losing my sats (IKS has recently expired although I don't believe that has anything to do with it), I managed to re-enter my USAL settings, but found that what has always been 1 deg W will not receive my sats. If I re-enter as 0.7 deg W then all seems to be OK. Early days yet though as I only twigged this last night. Hopefully all will continue to be good.
Keep up the good work folks.

Using diseqc v1.2. i have stored hotbird and 19.2e i have scanned both after a factory reset 1000 channels on 19.2e an 1461 on hotbird.

Even after a factory reset it's duplicating channels as if it's scanning the tps twice say 400 at 800.

Brackets are tight.

Some duplicated channels are normal, the same channel name can have different encryptions but thats not what you first complained about, so has the original problem gone away?
Just use someone elses premade channel list then untick the Sats you don't want in your list (elimination)

I am trying to create a list myself with the channel editor just going start it the video tutorial is out of date for the programme.

As for the other problem i have not had time been sorting out a few other problems family related.

Another question will the new list delete the previous one as i don't want go over the channel limit

" Another question will the new list delete the previous one as i don't want go over the channel limit "

It should but just to make sure you could in to Menu -> TV Channel Editor - Yellow Button (Delete) -> Click on Delete All - Exit. Then you can install your new channel list without any worries, however you will locate the Sats again, unless of course you leave the dish on 19 or 13, then you may only have to locate the other(s) You could also load the latest patch which is here:

When you load list to box it will wipe out you existing data and you may have to re enter your sat positions and network again? After that save a back up and it will save those details in it as well///
hope this helps it's a great box..
