Hi mates,

Already try to look here in the forum for a possible solution for my problem but couldn't find a topic.
I decided to backup my channel list in my USB and edit it with 6000 Channel Editor.
Edit the channels in the order I wanted, then push saved and list saved as SSU file.
Then put inside my pen and put in the receiver trough upgrade software.
However.....no channels appear, nothing. Try to choose my old list from my usb and channels appear! I noticed that files edit with Editor that have SSU extension don't appear.
What can be the problem?

Thanks!

Aldo,

Already read and try. Everytime I try to Edit my channel list with Editor 6000 and reload my new list saved .SSU again in receiver, channels don't appear in receiver.
In Editor, just fine, they are there, but in receiver nothing. Use another USB stick, formatted, nothing.

Surely your channel list must have more than just .ssu, and if you create a channel list with the channel editor it makes a channel list named User Database.ssu and the date compiled, and that info is in the thread that you have just read, and further more do you have any other files stored on your USB Stick, have you checked those on your receiver to see if they have been seen.

Aldo,
in fact the file created by Editor is "User Database20_06.SSU". The size of the file is 513kb. But the other channel files that I have in USB stick that work fine don't have SSU extension. When I upload a list modified in Editor it is blank.

It would appear that the other files may have corrupted your user database file, try saving your other files to your PC leaving just your user database file on the stick and try it again, you may have reload that file again if it has indeed become corrupted.

Already try that too and nothing.
Very strange, can't understand why the modified filein Editor doesn't work in receiver. Data Flash is fine (100%) but no list appear.

Did you save your database file correctly, on completion of you editing your list you have to save it, and you get the message database saved, if you did not do that or get that message, then you are probably trying to load an empty database file, because you have saved nothing to it.

Yes there is a newer version here:

Could any of the Mods or Admin please place all of the 6000 Channel Editors into 1 Tools Thread, as at the moment they are scattered all over, and members are having problems finding the latest version

Sorry M8, but that link goes to version 2.1.0, which is older than the version the OP is using.

Even with new Editor problem continues and empty list appears all the time. Really unable to understand the problem.
It is better to make my own list with my remote control.

Thanks mates!

It clearly states here:

3 - Fixed bug where selecting a "Blank Database" would not clear the currently loaded channels.

The problem sounds the same as I had. (Empty files!!). The answer for me was as in Aldo's #8 above!

Try this procedure that I posted for another member some time ago:

Here is how I made my channel list with the channel editor - Select New - Download Internet Database - Basic Download - Select the Sats that you wish or/can receive channels from - In the Right hand Column - Select the channel categories you wish to load (remember 6000 limit) - once you have done that click on Download Internet Database - you will then see the channels being added to the Sats that you have selected.

Aldo,
Did that exactly and because not all the channels in 30*W appear when downloading Internet Database, I had to scan some frequencies to add those missing channels. After that, I backup the channels in my USB stick and removed it.
Then I put my USB stick in my Windows 7 PC, open Editor 2.0.3 and open file with all channels on it (curiously the files transfered from the receiver to USB stick don't have SSU extension!?).
Then I edited this file with the channels in the order and Favorites I wanted and push save. I choose to save in desktop, and message saying that the file was saved appeared on screen. Transfer the new file (this time with SSU extension) from desktop to USB Stick.
Then, put again USB Stick in receiver and selected Upgrade and choose the SSU file. Data was written in Flash til 100% success. Receiver reboot as usual and....0 channels available. Already made several Factory reset, install Firmware and nothing changed that.

@DrHouse

Did you follow all of the installation instructions in post#11, you maybe better off deleting the one that you have installed, and start again following those instructions.
