Do you have a satellite meter, to help you find the satellite?
It is signal quality you need to improve, a cheap satellite meter, even one for around £6 - £8, will help greatly in aligning your dish.
As you have provided your latitude, and longitude, I'm assuming you're using USALS.
All you need to do is set the motor to zero, attach the dish, connect it to your receiver, then enter the latitude, and longitude, into your receiver and send the dish to Thor, 0.8W.
Once you have done this you need to physically move your motor, and dish, to locate the satellite, and get the strongest signal possible.
To help you do this you might want to try dishpointer.com.
You enter your postcode, select Thor 0.8W, from the drop down satellite box, then zoom in on the map and move the green icon to where you have your dish located.
You should then be able to see the direction your dish should be pointing.
If you can upload some pictures, of your dish, and motor, someone might spot a problem.
But I would consider getting a cheap meter, it does help a lot, when first setting up.

Hi
Beat me as I was typing Mickha, but similar
@red134
If you are starting from scratch I would recommend using some kind of signal meter. You can then setup it up on your own.
From my own experience I used a cheapo Signal Meter (Beeps Increase along with analog needle increase) when on target. You may succeed with help from someone else making sure you are locked onto Thor but its no use at all saying it pointing South, you need the correct Elevation and Azimuth. You need to be able to locate the FTA channel on Thor 'BBC World' I think it is.

Red,you can check where true South by standing a any kind of vertical pole in sunshine,mark the spot where the top of the pole shadows,wait a couple of hours and mark again the top shadow of pole then get center of the two markings and draw a line to the pole,that line will be pointing South,an 80 cm dish might be iffy trying to get many Sats but I'm thinking 75% would be alright for 28.2 not sure about any other Sats anyway I hope this helps,regards

If your longitude is 5W then your true South is Eutelsat 5(5W). Not Thor(1W) and as far as signal strengh goes you should have more than 75 but don't expect much more than 80.

0.5w not 5w also set up on any satellite stated earlier.

Yes, your right, I misread his longitude. (should have gone to S............s). Ignore the first part of my post #8.
