Does the Vu not have an android app. So you could use a Android tablet or phone.I use Dreamdrorid for my qbox. Tis ok if I'm using My favourites lists to change channel.

yes it does have the android app, from the play store

as for the original question, the magic eye does not distribute channels to another room, not on the official sly box nor on any other box

tv distribution by RF is done using an rf modulator which is built into the sly official box (and a few other boxes like the spiderbox 9000 and maybe a tm5402) but is usually done by adding an rf modulator between the scart or composite outputs of a box and the rf coax links

but remote operation by magic eye is done by supplying power to the magic eye (sly eye) and having a suitable detector at the box end to receive the eye signals and then use an IR blaster to aim IR at the front of the box which are usually combined systems in the single unit

the TRIAX TRI-LINK is one such method, as are a few other options like those by GLOBAL or BLUE DELTA or MARMITEK

no box other than the official sly box can handle both operations to my knowledge, so sometimes you have to add both options unless they have been combined into one like the TRI-LINK has

these systems have been discussed here on pimps many, many times over the last 10 years

As far as I'm aware you use channel 40 rf out of vu duo alongside something like an omni link (yes with power supply) - I use this with my TM5402HD M3 and it works fine!
(Think Skybox is usually set at channel 66)

VU boxes do not have an RF output (already mentioned in my earlier reply)

so whilst the magic eye options can include using an omnilink, an external box needs to be used to change the scart or composite outputs to an RF signal between ch21 and ch68 (avoiding any other channels in there like freeview channels for the muxes)

a tm5402 and spiderbox 9000 have this RF output (as mentioned in my post) but the vast majority of boxes DO NOT have an RF output

I'm looking to distribute a BT box in the same way as I have my Sky and magic eye. Do I hook up the BT box to the Triax via Scart and can I hook up a second device to the same box via RF i.e. my Vu+ Uno so that I can also distribute this.

its one modulator for each and every feed, so to distribute 2 boxes you need 2 bits of kit, each using a different RF channel
