Hi all,for some time (several weeks) I have noticed a deterioration in my viewing it encrypted channels other than H D not opening I have several Nlines from same server and all others are functioning properly so I am sure it's not my provider,I have checked all the usual suspects ie dish ect and all outside the house is as perfect as I would expect,I fear the problem may be my Spider 6000 but I am hoping someone can help, regards Knacker

What channels and what satellite have you tried IKs on it's own presuming your not meaning 28.2 on it's own?

Further to my post of earlier today,I got another Stb and put the NLine into it and it works, after which I deleted all from Spider 6000 and tried all the 10 lines,it would not work on any, maybe someone can tell me if it can be sorted I would be glad other wise it will be made redundant for cam lines and used for I P T V,regards Knacker

Try the usb stick method to add your lines and then inform us the result.

Have a very similar problem, connecting/not connecting to server - this is with four different 6000`s in different locations.
The Green dot just disappears beside the server line

Hi satscene, thanks for the reply I had a similar experience as your self with the connect green dots and found the problem was I had missed deleting a letter or number that would have been hidden at one side or the other,I kept deleting with the green button until I was sure there was no digit, this may or may not be your problem but you will eliminate it,regards Knacker

I put the line into via a Usb stick and while the lines have been going into the server line I have tried all the lines and while the F T A chans are showing the encrypted chans do not show nor does the little green dot at right of line telling you of a connection, regards Knacker

Might be coincidence but this started happening when i began patching with that old 2013 patch first as advised in here.
Next time i`ll go back to only loading in the latest patch and see what happens.

Hi all, last night I got to work on the recovery, when I eventually found the instruction in the Tools pages and followed all instructions (well done B D) I could not get a line to open the encrypted chans, anyway thanks for all the help and pte messages received, for the minute I will keep the sick Spider as I have taken an old Eagle 800 out of retirement which gives me all I want, regards Knacker.

This may be in the wrong area if so maybe a senior person could put in proper place in a zip.
Here is a fix I got.
Do a factory reset and install this patch first
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?163203-Spiderbox-Smartbox-HD6000-Patch-30-08-2013
Then do another factory reset then install this patch.
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?168154-Spiderbox-Smartbox-HD6000-Patch-24-07-2014
Then do another factory reset.
See if that fixes the problem.
If not test the LAN is OK.
To test your LAN connection is OK simply ping the IP address of the Spiderbox.
Drop into Windows Command Prompt and ping the Spiderbox IP address, example if the Spiderbox IP address is 192.168.1.4 you'd type ping 192.168.1.4 and press return.
Example:
C:\ >ping 192.168.1.4
Pinging 192.168.1.4 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.4: bytes=32 time=233ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.4: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.4: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.4: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.4:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 233ms, Average = 59ms
Look at the Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss) information.
If you get Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss) your LAN is working OK. If you have packet loss then you'll have to investigate the cause starting with replacing the LAN cable and rebooting the router.
