Hey folks,
Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself as per the forum rules :D
I am an English guy, living in Madrid and watching Italian satellite TV. It's a long story, but the short version is that my girlfriend is Italian, and Italian TV variety is pretty good/similar to the UK (with most shows available in English), and I can get it with a relatively standard 60cm dish. I would love to get UK TV, but you need a pretty big dish for that, and getting permission to put one of those up in the middle of a big city is a tall order.
I have been using an Openbox S10 for a couple of years, but it recently blew a capacitor, and prompted me to look for an upgrade. I am now just waiting on a shiny new VU+ Solo SE from our Goldwafers friends ;). It seems to be quite a bit different from the Openbox in terms of operation, so I am trying to get a head-start here by reading up.
In the meantime, I managed to fix the Openbox by using a capacitor from a broken Samsung monitor ... /McGuyver!
