Vu+ solo2

I have a Vu + solo2 receiver
a 1.4 metre dish and a 1 metre dish ( only the 1.4 is used at the moment )

is it possible


to motorise the 1.4 dish on input one on the receiver ( was going to motorise anyway )

and have the 1 metre dish ( fixed on input 2 of the receiver ) ???


so if I am right

I can record say, a film on the fixed dish
and scan the arc with the motorised dish

Yes. I have a motorised dish on one input and three fixed dishes (ie three LNBs) on the other. These are controlled by a diseqc switch.

What are you trying to achieve with this? Are you trying t have a second input for recording?
If so one feed from lnb to tuner 1 the other feed to switch and the feed from the motor to the switch, then back to box and set up using advanced config.

that's all I needed to know guys

just brought the 1.4 dish and wanted to motorise this up .
but did not want to lose my other dish
so thought I could have this up aswell for fixed signal from 19.2 ( sky select HD PPv recording )

and then use the big dish for looking at others sats

but was told NO by " system sat direct "

they said I would need two receivers !

Just post again if you need help with setting up the diseqc on tuner 2 the fixed dish needs to be on diseqc 1 and the motor on diseqc 2.
