hi there im trying to transfer a movie from my vu duo to my pc so I can burn to dvd. but im not getting very far I have read a few tuts on how to do it but still no good can anyone give a step by step tutorial thanks image is vti v 6 0 5 cheers

Very easy if you use an ftp prog. Just open the HDD/movie folder on the VU. Open the destination folder on the PC, in my case C:\films and transfer the .ts film file..

Or, just highlight it and drag it to your PC drive from within your network.

easiest way is as dog-man said,below as per windows 7 should be same on most windows.

on youre pc , my computer / network / duo / hard disk / movie / drag and drop the required recording to what ever folder you like, it will then transfer to youre pc.

you can use vlc player to view , or convert x to burn to dvd .

I agree with cosworth 4x4 and dog-man but the easiest way if you are prepared to buy it is VideoReDo tvsuite version 4. You can access the files directly through the network and edit and burn all through the same programme.

I cannot see my vu box on my network I have enabled network sharing but don't see my box have also tried ftp with dcc but all it send across is a small file wich takes about ten secs something simple I know any one know what cheers

my vu does not always show unsure why , just try a reboot on both.

cheers found the vu on a pc went to harddisc/movie . found the film and drag n dropped to the pc but same as when I tried to ftp with dcc just a small file goes across its an sc file takes about 10 secs not the full film

sussed it there are about five files for each movie you send the biggest one over looks like its going to take a while
