Hi everyone,
For the past few days my signal on 28.2 glitches all the time, have reset router, powered off/on, reset dish, all to no avail. Other sats work fine. Anyone else got this problem? I hope not.

Hi Charlie, All FTA channels work fine as does IKS. Have you a decent signal?

Think you'll find it's your sealion m8 if IKs and free xiew are ok. Best to contact your server and tell him your issue IKs have nothing to do with 28.2.

Done that mate, they say its to do with changes Sly are making, nothing to do with them. But if everyone else is okay, then it must be them.

They now say "Sly are making changes (more yesterday morning) similar to sly Italia just before their SD channels went down"
. That sounds a bit grim.

Just using my wife's sealion and you are right saying that's the problem, everything OK FTA at 28e but sly is definitely glitching on this box.

Hoping you wouldn't say that mate, odd no-one else has reported this, its been dodgy for a few days now.

They are definitely telling you porkies to put it politely hehe. I'm watching the footy right now with a sealion and it's perfect m8. Only other thing you can try is switch your IKs off giving full internet to your sealion see if that makes a difference.

It's not signal, or your box. Problems with 28e for last few days, being discussed elsewhere. Not everyone seeing it because changes only affecting small number of specific channels so far.

There's a limit to the extent that this subject can be discussed here, probably better looking elsewhere for further info.

It doesn't matter which receiver you use, the same thing is happening to all.

Not all of us bother with 28.2E especially as there are much better quality channels, and programming, on other satellites, and without constant advertising breaks.

Yes I agree, its just the footie, diminishing all the time....But we learn and move on, as we always have done. Never been a fan of the dish anyway.

For football, I prefer C+ Futbol HD, 19.2E, with the second audio option providing crowd atmosphere, without the annoying commentary.
Sometimes they also show extra games, on other channels, particularly on Sunday, following the European league games, when more EPL games are scheduled.

It will sort itself out, it always does. Been in this hobby through thick and thin. Have been dark for months and then something turns up. Man makes it, man breaks it. Its not life or death.

I'm not too fussed by his shut down but it has been nice to get one over murky and his dodgy empire which is still growing by the day. Sadly his new give away toy is making up for losses in other depts, this new hook is a bit like the old old pre sly days of "have a free dish and a hugely subsidised box on us" to get you hooked. Apart from that the antipodean bastard has never paid his proper taxes here so what goes around comes around. How long will it be before he begins to undermine the home competition as he has to other providers in the past, that is going to be interesting to watch for.
Do agree with timbo and his sentiments wholeheartedly though.

When you sit and actually watch the thing in real time, you wonder how they can get away with the subscription rates. I have mates who pay a fortune each year just to watch adverts with, lets face it, other than the footie, pretty ordinary programmes in between. And the American crap is unwatchable adds or no adds.

spot on again its a bit like ITV suddenly charging a sub. I thought that was the point, advertising without a sub.

ITV has called on BSkyB and Virgin Media to pay potentially tens of millions of pounds in annual fees to be allowed to air ITV, BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in pay-TV homes.

Adam Crozier, ITV chief executive, said the public service broadcasting channels are by far the most popular on pay-TV, and that Sky and Virgin should be forced to make “retransmission” payments to carry them.

It's not the same issue at all. What you are experiencing has nothing to do with this thread.

Knowing some english really does help sometimes :) Both sound simmilar to the ear yet the sea-lion version doesn't attract search engines. Get it now? Just read out loud both and stop being a smartass ;)
