which bd files for new sbox latest or others needed

hi all have new sb6000 from goldwafers, gift expires tomorrow, I need to patch the new box

do I just load bd firmware file for june or do I need to put an older patch in first.

also can I save the original factory firmware to usb prior to updating?

ps whats the code I need to punch into the remote for hidden menu

If its new, the gift can't expire tomorrow, it lasts 12 months from when you install the patch, the setup code and procedure is in the "Setup Guide for Spiderbox 6000hd" Sticky.

He could be implying that the old receiver gift expires tomorrow, and is looking for info to setup the new receiver.

Yes, quite right he could be, he could also renew the expiring gift on his old one and have 2 working Spiders.

if in doubt, use the end of august 2013 patch first, followed by the july 2014 patch last, with factory resets in between each stage

If he received the new receiver from Goldwafers then it should have came with the August 2013 patch installed, so he should only have to install the latest patch and carry on with rest of the setup procedure.

sorry all my post was a bit misleading, it is my older sb6000 which the gift expires 11 11 2014, the new sb shows firmware 1 august 2013, as mentioned.

so it seems I just need latest patch,

the 2013 file I mentioned is as I said, the END of aug 2013 (not the beginning)

namely, the 30th aug 2013

so as I said but will repeat, I would use that first, THEN use the july 2014 patch dated 24 july 2014

but even when people ask for advice, they dont always take it or read the posts properly

The newest batches come with original May 2014 software , so in this case you just load latest 24 July patch.

Did the vendor not state if the receiver did have any patch installed, or which one it has on it, maybe you need to contact the vendor and ask that question before you install anything else, as blackdevil said in an earlier post some of the latest batch of receivers have a May 2014 patch installed when purchased. The July 2014 patch can be found here:

if you do the above anyway, you know its done , so that is what I would do regardless

ie:- factory reset , then install aug 2013 followed by factory reset, then install july 2014 followed by another factory reset
