hi all I currently have skyhd box fed from sky minidish on my chimney stack.

I also have 80cm moterised dish which is connected to my spiderbox sb6000 .

I have just purchased a openbox to record stuff when my skybox is already recording 2 channels and my sb is also in use.

but I need to be on 28e to use the openbox in the uk.

I spotted on amazon a sky dish+wnc lnb model f88-bs2 £25 free delivery, lnb is octo (8 male f connectors)

so have purchased,

it seems this lnb could fit my moterised dish if need be, but the frequency range of lnb is 10.70-12.75 GHZ

could I use for non sky hd box such as the spiderbox .

I have a few options as I have a spare spiderbox, and may use the lnb for duel feed, or may just set up the second sky dish

thank you

providing its neck will fit into the lnb holder on the dish then any lnb will work, although some sly lnb,s are oval shaped to suit the sly dish

but from a working point of view, yes it will work , and there is always the option of fitting it to the sly dish if you had a quad on there, which doubles the amount of 28e feeds from said sly dish

most of these modern lnb,s are universal, so will work with all the standard broadcasts from most european satellites, although there are specialised lnb,s that are not universal for other systems, including quattro and maybe the saorview ones for eire ?

anyway, if its a universal lnb, its fine with the spiderbox, vu , dreambox , icecrypt and many, many other boxes

but bear in mind that weight can be an issue on a motorised lnb arm, plus the dish may need realigning after its been swapped over

thanks echelon, the lnb is universal the neck dia is the same as on the moterised set up so should be ok if I decide to swap it over

if th scaler rings are oval you will not get the most out of a regular offset dish
