Have a guy with a 6000 who has moved into a house with no broadband line connection.
How would the spiderbox work with say a 3 Mobile Broadband dongle for example?
He`s only interested in the sat. channels not the IPTV part.
How much data should he get for being an average user. I see 1GB data sticks for around £20, how long would this last?
My box worked fine using one of these last summer together with a 3 payg sim that I topped up as and when required. I only used it occasionally for football matches etc and it didn't work out to be too expensive.

No as far as I'm aware a dongle will not work, you need one of the mobile wi-fi units as in my post above.

Thanks for the replies,
it`s just that a friend has one of the Openboxes running off a usb 3 dongle plugged straight in the usb port.
I thought maybe the 6000 would work the same.

It works with dongle.
Go Menu-Multimedia-Network settings and select this option.
