View Full Version : Need help please
Hi, the story so far.
1. flashed my vu+duo2 with the latest Vix 090 image.
2. downloaded the Cccam 2.3.0 as a plugin and started it up after a reboot.
3. Sent CCcam.cfg with C line to /etc folder rebooted again and checked Cccam was running
I cannot clear any channels. Nor can I see details of my C line in the CCcam server info settings. My Cccam.cfg was working great before I did the upgrade of the image from Apollo 024 to 090.
I have read all the threads including C-Line set up on Vix and CCCam.cfg file location/path for clues but still have not had my "Eureka" moment yet! I would be grateful if you can help me figure out what I am not doing right.
Best regards
Mickha

Haven't used Vix but in Black Hole you have to select the Cam, and acivate it, by pressing the Blue button, then using the left/right arrow buttons, to highlight it and press OK.
Have you tried any other Cams, 214 or 221?

If you installed CCcam 2.30 From The VIX Plugin Feeds I doubt your cam would have started
As theres no CCcam.cfg files included in their softcams.
And you clearly said you started your cam before you ftp'd you config file to /etc/
I would check to see if your cam is running
Short Blue Press
Softcam Manager ok
Press Blue to Enable Startup
Green to Start Cam
Hi, In Softcam Setup it says
Active:CCcam.2.3.0
Then below is a box saying
Select (green tick) CCcam.2.3.0
so I think it is running OK. I have rebooted many times and checked that CCcam is running on startup. The CCcam.cfg with my C line is in the etc folder, (it is correctly formatted as it worked in previous image. Checked with my provider and there are no issues there.
I clearly must be missing some setting or something, I just cannot figure it out.
Best regards

In Black Hole the CCcam.cfg file is located in the var folder, etc sub folder, but it could be different on the Vix image.
Have you loaded/tried any other Cams?

I can confirm that in ViX the cfg file goes in /etc/
Can you say if you can see cccam server in your browser window - if yes the cam must be working. Then what can you see in the servers tab - does that match what you have in the cfg file.

All the above can be correct but also check your cccam.cfg file with notepad as a space or any extra marks with render your line inactive.
Hi, when I go into SoftCam/CI - CCcam info - Servers it is blank with no info.
The C line is exactly as it was sent to me C: h*******ol.d****s.info 99999 ****** ****** There is a space between the port numbers and passwords and after C:
Hope this helps

There should also be a space between username and password??

make sure cccam is running
telnet ps
for vix images look for
/usr/softcams/CCcam_230
if it is then theres nothing wrong with the cam start script
that will then rule out the cam and the script
if thats the case
your cfg file is wrong

I presume you've tried a reflash as well??
Hi,
If I use telnet this is what I get after typing in ps
PID TTY Time CMD
27029 pts/0 00:00:00 login
27031 pts/0 00:00:00 sh
27046 pts/0 00:00:00 ps
root@vudu2:/#
I have looked in usr/softcams/CCcam_230
File size 1,251,684
File Type 0 file
last madified 29/11/2014
Permissions -rwxr-xr-x
Owner Group 0.0
I have not tried reflashing the image, I am a total novice with this, and if you think doing this, orsome other image will be better and get me up and running I will give it a go!
I always knew that this would be a steep learning curve, I am reading everything I can but would really like to succeed with this!

Hi,
OK, found TS Media o the plugins and installed it to my stb. It is 7.98 version, so the latest. Looks very exciting, but how will this help with my problem? Or have I got this wrong? I only found TS Media not TS Panel on the plugin list. Am I on the right track?
Best regards
Hi,
Have now answered my own question, they are two entirely different things. Found plugin, ftp'd it across (see, getting the lingo right now!) Installed CCcam 2.3.0 for Vix and......still cannot open anything!
Can I have some help now please? I feel I am just about there but something needs tweaking, I just do not know what
Best regards

I think you have exhausted all efforts m8 next option for you is reflash I think go to post 14 and read the link and follow all instructions. The image you will flash is Blackhole there's a lot of people on here to give you help with this image.
Good Luck

Is it a spelling mistake It should be CCcam.cfg not CCam.cfg.

start again and do this
backup your cccam.cfg file to your pc
then download the vix CCcam_230 ipk file below
http://tinyurl.com/nld4uay
put the ipk file on a usb stick and vix will detect it and prompt you to install it
then when it has installed
ftp to /etc/cccam.cfg
and delete all the text that is in there
then copy your sealion in and save
start CCcam_230 on your box
thats it
it can't get any easier than that
the ipk above is for vix images only
Hi, All sorted! Many thanks to you all for your help. As you suspected, it was my C line. It looked like there was a space after C: but it wasn't! I really could not have done this without your help. I was determined to solve this problem myself, and have spent the last two weeks reading and experimenting. It was only after this that I came to you asking for help. Glad I did. The good side is I have risen from being an absolute novice to just "novice"
Thank you
