Is Wireless or Wired network best?
Menu-Multimedia-network settings i have mine set to wireless, i have heard wired is more stable but when i select wired my connection disappers, do i need to actually connect a wire between the router and spiderbox or will wired work without doing this?

When it comes to any networking wired is always best, 100% stable and does not get affected by interference.

You really do need a wire between them if going for the wired option

ideally used wired

for this you need an ethernet cable from the back of the box to your router

wired is faster than wireless , so more stable if streaming etc

I would agree with both echelon & Extrafacto on being wired with the ethernet cable between the Router & Receiver, which is what I have in place.

Absolutely agree! Cable straight to router if close enough. I'm not close enough! I started using Vonets for wifi. I then bought a load of TP Link 500s (homeplugs) and 'upgraded' 6000 to wired. I haven't noticed any difference but then my BB speed and wifi stability is great. (BT).

I manage a 9000+ PC network (not in my house may I add lol) and recently we invested several million in wireless. But this will never be a replacement for our wired infrastructure - but more of a means to allow flexibility of working with devices such as ipads, laptops etc. Hard wired will always rule.

Hi
As you are confident at Setups/Network then it maybe a box fault.

I to don't have wireless working (prefer wired anyway) the cause is my Spider sits to close to other electrical equipment.

Hope this helps

Is it the first time that you have tried to setup a Spiderbox 6000, as you may not have completed the setup procedure correctly.
