hi all I currently have 80-90cm oval dish and original stab moter on scaffold pole.

I have received today I metre gibertini dish from Germany (£70) and also dark moter from gw.

if I mount the new dish on current stab moter, as the dish is larger what would I set the dish angle too,

there is no info on inclination supplied with dish.

if I decide to replace old stab with dark moter I would like to check first how I set all this up as regards dish angle settings.

lat and long 51.6n 0.4 west? Watford Hertfordshire

thank you ps looked on dishpointer for hotbird seems totally diferent to current set up

The Dark motor elevation angle would be 51.6 or as close as you can get it, the Gibby 1m will be of a similar angle to what your current dish is but always advisable to adjust for better accuracy so anywhere between the 25-30 mark on the dish itself as i say adjust to suit when your aligning it.

agree with the above, my dark motor booklet says the dish needs to be around 27.5 on the elevation , plus obviously you set the motor elevation itself to your latitude, as close as possible

using a receiver and usals means the motor is moved to the correct position for the satelllite you are using to line up on, so 0.8w would be a reasonable lining up satellite seeing as its almost due south of you, which is where your zero marker would be pointing on the motor itself (for your longitude- ie:- for your location)
