Help please, im trying to add a cccam config file

Can someone please help me

I wish to add a cline into a cccam config file

i have used filezilla to ftp into the box and used the search facility which found .CCcam.nodeid located in

/var/volatile/tmp

i cant seem to find a cfg file for the cccam

i have downloaded most of the cccam versions through plugins

can someone please help me

Love the 1st post. :)

cccam.cfg is usually either in /usr/keys or /etc depending on which image you have loaded. You can map a drive or browse to the location and edit it directly or do it the hard way via FTP. Can also edit directly in DCC/VUCC.

if its anything like the linux boxes (vu or dreambox or tm twin), the cccam cfg file is in var/etc

Ive looked in those files and couldnt find it, so i did a search and the only thing it found was the file mentioned in the first post.

ive made my own file and put it into the etc folder(i think) will this be sufficient to put the cline in?

usually yes

you can usually obtain your own cfg file and put it in var/etc, as the main installers may only install the bin and script file to run it, but may not have the cfg file or install a cfg file, meaning you get your own , adapt it and ftp into var/etc

if you look through the various linux forums here you will find cccam files you can download and extract the cfg file, then adapt and use it, or your own

try it, nothing to lose

assuming it works ok, assume a lot of other linux box files may work ok on your tm nano too

to extract it do i just copy and paste it into the empty file i have created? I do I then copy and the paste the cline into the same file as well, i honestly havent a clue what im doing

without seeing what you have its impossible to advise you

my actual advice is download a cccam.cfg file (or a full installer) and extract the cfg file from it on your pc using 7zip or bandizip

once you have this cfg file, copy and paste the line into it using notepad++ (not notepad)

as I said earlier, but will reiterate, we have various linux box forums here with explanations of all of this , clearly you havent spent time reading them as you are new here

check the cccam forum , the dreambox newbies forum as well as the dreambox forums , all the vu discussion forums , for starters

its all here and explained in those forums, but you need to look and read them, I suspect you will also find cfg files you can download and modify, and I know for a fact the explanations are in those threads in those forums, including how a c line looks

so I suggest you research it a bit more , learn what you are doing, and why , its a steep learning process , hence all the tutorials and sticky threads in those forums

My CCCAM.CFG resides simply in etc (Openvix). As mentioned when you install CCCAM 2.30 it doesn't create this file.

When I had issues with freezing it was suggested on here to simply create a CCCAM.CFG file with one line in it as per the following syntax:

C: server.domain portno userid password no

Get hold of a copy of cccam-editor if you want to create a full config file and tweak it.
