TM500 connection help

hi all

me mate has a tm500 and he did a factory reset the di*k lol, im trying to log in the box with DCC to put the cline back on but cant get onto the box, static IP: says no internet connection

dont no if it matters but my router is vi*gin media super hub

dose anyone have a clue?

Your nameserver is on a differant network,,,,,,,,change it to 192.168.0.1 to match your gateway address and see if that helps

still wont work. ive got a DM500 so i set the network the same on the TM500, tryed over cables but no jot

I have a so called superhub.Often the firewall is the problem.It could be blocking your reciever.Default is medium.It blocks a lot of sites.I often have to set it to low for my grandsons minecraft sites.Lowering it to low may do the job.It is in advanced settings.
Edit.Nope thinking about it .The firewall probable only affects incoming, from the internet.

I do not know if it is the same.But if I remember right with my TM 9100 and Dm500s. I used to disable DHCP on the reciever.to give a static ip address.Maybe that has something to do with the problem

ive looked into the router setting and the router picks it up the box. but on the box say static IP: no internet connection so i wont let me log into the box with DCC

Use TCC.
There is no password by default on TM500 so normally have to set one

go to the command prompt and type ping 192.168.0.1 ,,change the ip address to your box ip address,,,,,,the reply will tell you the connection status.
