hi all I currently have sky hd and will be swopping over to virgin media next month.

looking at sky epg I noticed the cbs action channel is showing the series SHOGUN which I wish to record and keep.

although on freeview, I wish to install the freesat channels on sb6000 (so I can record to usb )

but I am not sure how I would keep my current channel list but add freesat to a spare fav slot using the channel editor,

I assume its on 28e but what settings and provider would I select fta movies etc

thank you

You simply manually scan in the channel, then move it to whatever favourite folder you want.
There are a lot of FTA channels, on 28.2E, including CBS Action, on 11222 H 27500, as well as the Horror Channel +1, you might already have these channels scanned in.

MENU-> Installation->Manual Scan type in the tp details kindly provided by Mickha above (YOu will only need the frequency, symbol rate and polarity) and hit the green button to scan. As Mickha said you can then move the newly scanned in channels to wherever you want or they would jus sit at the bottom of the channel list for 28.2E (either way they are easy to find)

thanks roadrunner I have just tried sb6000 channel editor used advanced option picked 28.2 as sat.

choose all catogaries, but only freesat as provider, and it has given me a list of the freesat channels with the relevant info fr/tp so I can choose which I want to install.

I have not checked whats in my original list as regards any freesat channels that might be already there
