I currently use my sly dish with quad lnb to supply 4x boxes to 4 rooms. However I would like to supply 6 rooms, What should I do.

Thanks in advance

you will need a octo lnb and just use 6 of the 8 connections.

youre quad now has 4 cables running from it feeding 4 receivers, octo lnb has 8 so you connect up to 8 receivers.

so you will replace the lnb and run in 2 more cables , and block off the extra 2 you will not need.

if any of the receivers you have can record one channel and watch another ( will have 2 cable feeds on the rear) you could make use of the 2 spare feeds.

Each of the boxes has 2 feeds into them. The LNB I have has 8 cable outputs. If that makes sense.

Thank you

yeah understood so you already have a octo lnb not a quad.

only option i know of now is a quattro lnb and a multiswitch , or a second mini dish .

unless another member can recommend another way for you.

in that case you already have an octo , not a quad

twin = 2 cable outputs

quad = 4 cable outlets

octo = 8 cable outlets

in that case you need to add another dish and a quad lnb on it

ie:- 8 is the maximum from the one dish

there are professional systems that allow more than 8 feeds but complicated , more for hotels etc

best and cheapest option is add a second dish with quad or octo lnb , for another 4 or 8 outlets

you could get a multi switching box so it would go sky dish multi lnb two / four runs of coax to say the loft then two runs of coax to each room that you need to put a receiver in
the two runs of coax that go back to the box in the loft are for the channel you are watching and the channel you are wanting to record the box itself in the loft will do all the switching from horizontal to vertical for you so the coax going back to the lnb one is for the vertical channel and another length is for the horizontal channels but switching polarity boxes aint cheep
or you can get a sky dish with a 8 way lnb if all are + boxes you can run 4 receivers of each dish up to 8 receiver you will need 2 dishes and so on but you will have 8 lengths of coax to each dish you are allowed 2 dishes per property legally any more than two you are sappossed to get planning permission not that many do

do to rules of the forum not allowed to say where to get one we can only reccomend sponsers on main page
