Hi all

I have my 6000, a Chromecast and a Raspberry Pi running OpenElec plugged into my TV via HDMI.

Whenever my 6000 is plugged it in completely disables CEC on my Samsung TV - nothing switches automatically and I can't control OpenElec with my TV remote. As soon as I unplug the 6000 from the HDMI port the whole functionality comes back.

CEC is turned on and working fine when I'm the 6000 isn't plugged so I know that it's working correctly. I've checked for a CEC option on the Spiderbox and can't see anything obvious to turn on/off.

Does anybody have any idea or similar experiences on how to fix this?

Thanks

bob

A problem that’s been going on for the last two years or so, not only with Samsung, also Sony, LG, and Panasonic, being affected. Samsung and Sony were talking about Firmware upgrades.Try this as a work round using a CEC-less HDMI Cable.

I think that someone who knows how to delete posts within a thread might want to delete the 2 offending posts above!!
