Hi,

Since upgrading to BH 14 I've had a running battle with the Receiver. 1st it was a recording issue then EPG, both sorted BTW with the forums help but now another problem.

I put the receiver into standby last thing at night but each morning the receiver is showing DVB on the display but nothing on the TV. Yesterday morning I pressed the down arrow and the list of channels appeared on the TV but there is no such channel as DVB. This morning it happened again so I pressed the right arrow and the receiver moved to the next channel which was next in alphabetical order to DVB but again there is no channel listed DVB!!

Any idea firstly why the receiver should go from standby to ON and also where does this DVB come from, is it something to do with the transmission of a signal from a satellite as the only definition I could find on Google is Digital Video Broadcasting

Regards

dave

I suspect its to do with your epg downloading, so check crossepg and its settings

in other words, its trying to do something overnight and failing, or staying on the downloading instead of going back to the default channel

this is probably the epg data on a satellite radio channel , possibly one you cannot receive in the canaries ?

I set up the box!
Dave's box is set up to d/l from internet, not (or is wasn't) using satellite.

I have given up with crossepg - keeps crashing my DM8000
now using openpli & their epg

being on DVB and no channel indicates to me it is waking up and trying to download the EPG from a sat radio channel , failing , probably due to not being able to receive the epg over radio data , due to being in tenerife and not uk , hence why it wakes up and says DVB (its stuck)

seen it before when I was using sat to download epg data

so despite your protestations, that is my diagnosis of the DVB problem, it was when he posted , it still is

stop that program from being executed and you stop the wake up and DVB error , no matter which image is being used
