DB 500 Flash

Hi

I am looking for a DB 500 flash that contains a CCcam

Yes i know someone is saying it is easy to load a CCam into a DB500
I have been trying all day to do this and got nowhere

I am not that tech minded

thats why i have spent all day trying to do it

so to make it easy for me if I can find a DB 500 flash that includes a CCcam

I will be a happy chappie

Definately have a look at Openpli, I have it working on an old DM500 and you can downloadcamsfrom the image.

I am using DreamUp to flash the box

I get up to where you select com port and now switch on the Dreambox

Nothing happens

Is their any other flash i can use beside dreamup please

No other way, is the box a clone ?
If yes look for dreamup for the 500s, works every time

I have 2 db500s ie clones, can you say the name of the image you are trying to flash? and what version of dreamup are you using? are you disconnecting all the cables? what verison of windows are you using?

are you loading the image ie have you unzipped it?

If you load the Eagle V image, the download server for it is still active. CCcam is available, as is Oscam, Sbox etc.

I am using Windows XP
DreasmUp Version 1_3_3_9.exe

THe Image I would like to load is :- Gemini 0470_dm500_max_var_12122009.img

Leads :- I am using usb to RS232 ( usb serial converter ) I have a disc for the usb converter

I have three DB 500 so I have used the same setup before to flash them
dont know why i cant flash them now
When it gets to the point of switch on your dreambox i connect the mains to the db nothing happens
I have changed comports and I have also triied other boxes


I cannot get the laptop to hand shake with the DB 500

It is not the Image file that I have trouble with

My trouble is trying to flash the DB 500 using dreamUp

that is a mystery, i cant check my dreamup until tomoro, I usually used the power button on the back of box. Are you using serial lead or null modem?

Done it

Got a Laptop from my m8

And bingo

Flashed all 3 DB 500 with Gemini
