DO you have your dish connected and the box set-up ? You can't live on p*orn alone as much as the box cannot work on WI-FI alone ;)

Besides doing the above, You will have to move the dish East Or West to locate and store the positions of those Satellites that you can receive channels from, the person whose channel list you downloaded may live in the North of the UK while you may live in the South, so his Sat positions will not be the same as your location, and also you have to decide whether to use Diseqc or USAL's for your motor, and you could have found this info in the Spiderbox Setup Procedure which is here:

Looks like Paceyman is using his 6000 as Wi-Fi internet receiver, he now needs to buy a dish and read the sticky's to make it a satellite receiver.

It also looks like he is reluctant to give any further info as to what he is trying to achieve, and what equipment he has at the moment other than the Satellite receiver. as he has been online and seen some of the replies in this thread.

After buying a receiver you would hope to use it for what it was bought for, he will have to bite the bullit and ask for help, all he needs to do is as echelon stated, give his set up ie his country, dish, LNB fixed or motor etc, etc. noticed a lot of threads lately where people ask for help and then you hear nothing back of their progress. ps. waited to see if there is a response from Paceyman still nothing so off to bed goodnight all

He's a one-poster and he's been offline since 05-02-2015 03:41 PM. I.e. he logged off seven minutes after he asked the question and didn't come back yet. There's little point in answering this thread now.

It does sound like you have bought satellite receiver with a misunderstanding? Yes you can watch a lot of channels and yes even the UK channels but it's a satellite receiver so you will need; a dish, cable and if the unit you buy has not got a free gift included then you will need to buy a line.
I had a relation years ago that was going to buy a box because he was told "you need to keep it connected to the internet to get those channels."
So? He thought that he would buy the box to watch those channels?
He never new about the dish or extra money?
After about 2 days of me telling him ,he asked the person that had told him? Yes it was a satellite receiver and he never bought it or talked about it again ?
Hope I'm wrong but if I'm right? It's easy to put a dish up and this forum has a lot of knowledge that will help you to succeed.
