I know of high gain lnbs and high tuner sensitive receiver. By my experience they work for those of us at the fringes of the satellite coverage. Now I am attention to lnb cables. Do they increase signal quality? What is your experience and which is the best around?

Not increase signal quality.
They reduce signal loss.
If you don't have the quality to begin with no cable can improve it but good quality cable can reduce signal loss.

Thanks amdaley for your education. Am still interested in knowing which is the best cable around. Do members have experiences to share on how such have reduced signal loss?

every break in the cable between lnb and receiver gives 3to 5db loss of signal so avoid wallplates etc for best fringe signals. Also check annually fittings to lnb for signs of corrosion which again will cause loss of signal. If you want you really go for best signal invest in a proper meter and set dish up for max on weak sat signal.
