I do not have the Technomate M3, but the first difference will be the price, as they are over £100, so twice as expensive as the Spiderbox 6000.
There is also some info in this thread:

It is also worth considering that the Spiderbox 6000 opens a lot more channels than the 5402M3

Although I'm not downing the Spider but it's now knocking on £100 and is now discontinued with support still there. I would wait and see what the new Spider brings before I would buy another receiver as it may outdo the TM by it's functions and price.

I would think any new receiver especially closed source now needs to think about the possibility of adding a DVB-C/T/T2 tuner as well as satellite into its shell, as with most of these closed source STB's i would say a good 70%a are used for CS on 28.2° east with the added Cable tuner it makes it a lot more appealing. Blade media have already done so with the Blade 8000 combo which retails at the same price or just above the 5402M3.
Obviously Most SB6000 users who have a Motorised system have seen the huge benefits from its Patched Gift so heres hoping they at least have a look at market trends to see that although Cable is not widely available for everyone it still need to be a considered factor for STB manufacturers

Its surely the old hot potato of what you actually WANT out of a receiver guys - and for MY use the M3 is great and wouldn't WANT to change it for either a Spider or anything else for that matter!

To be totally fair, its also rumoured that TM are considering bringing out a new improved non-Linux receiver, so we could yet be waiting for ages for all that - bottom line is how badly or soon you want to change?:applause-003:
The OP also started this thread, so he is still undecided as to which receiver to wait for:

I will not be a competitor & i will talk only about our box.
All channels with known emulation clear.
We have channels + movies + series in IPTV function for free and there is no need user search by his own.
If we have choosen to make the 7 day full epg project, it would be fair to do for customers all over the world, not only sk* UK but sk* italy, digitalb, nova,sk* germany, ote etc.
We are targetting worldwide.

TM5402 M3 has IPTV and emulation.
Unless you use gift the spiderbox wont give you any more.
The TM5402 also has full 7 day epg on 28.2e.
Spiderbox is great value for money just depends what your requirements are.
Exactly - you really do have to ask yourself WHAT you want out of a box, there are so many things on my M3 which I don't even TRY to use, its so versatile, yet others would be exactly the opposite in what they wish to achieve, so as manic01 states BOTH boxes have their respective benefits/assets, these people wouldn't be in business if they hadn't!
Oh yes, I find the extra USB (one front and one rear) mega useful too compared to previous TM models M1 & M2!

Now i wish someone would crack the worldwide epg on a non linux box....that really would be something good and useful :]

Just as a matter of interest I wonder which TM box blackdevil has as he doesn't say?
As manic01 states, surely this is a thread of TM5402HS M3 versus Spiderbox - in an effort for a member to choose between them and we are simply trying to provide him with an unbiased opinion/comparison?
