Total newbie..... Basic Questions

I am waiting for delivery of a Gigablue Quad HD. I know nothing about Linux sat boxes. I have some basic questions. I know I'm going have to put an image on it.
Can anyone recommend a good one for a beginner, I don't want to get into a lot of tweaking and mods?

What is a cam? And do I need one?

Using my basic quad lnb installed by sky is their any extra channels I will be able to receive?

And is there a basic guide I can read up and get a grasp of the terminology? I thought we used a lot of jargon in my IT business until I tried getting a grip on this stuff!

you wont find specific gigablue support here

but you will find the cam (emu) and other linux files that may help you

this is the introduction section so no questions allowed in here

try the GIGABLUE RECEIVERS forum on here for gigablue questions as there is a small section for that type of receiver on the forums here

as for your lnb, it can receive anything that sly dish is pointed at , so mainly sly uk , freesat uk and setanta
