View Full Version : cannot enter complete wifi key

I NEED TO NNECT MY SPIDER 6000 VIA WIFI (LAN NOT AVAILABLE). i GET THE SSID FROM WIFI ROUTER. i NEED TO ENTER THE KEY (PASSWORD) as under wap2. I need to enter 26 characters but can my spiderbox accepts only 25. Has anyone encounter the same problem??

I`ve done quite a few, only 8 characters in wi-fi security.

Can u not change the PW on ur router to something a bit shorter?

You are looking at the Wireless Key, usually found on the bottom of your router below the SSID info?

Gotta be one of those older ORANGE Livebox routers. I came across one of them before and had to change the pass for shorter one as advised above. If its not possible to change it then use wireless plugs like the ones @ our sponsors shop here: https://www.goldwafers.co.uk/Home-Plug-Network/

my bro had a router where the password was extremely long and family mobile phones wouldnt take the long password (it may have been a linksys - not sure)
the answer was obvious, reduce the password for the login to something with less characters
in other words, all these devices have a limit, it may not always be the same limit but if you stick to say 16 characters or less (minimum 8 characters) then there should be no problems

Thank you all of you. will change the wifi key on the router as advice. It looks there is no otherway so far.
