the signal on most of my channels( ON MY SPIDERBOX6000HD BOX)are very weak !!
the weather is quite bad at the moment and I think cos the dish is at the corner of the building ,it is getting no protection from the wind ,,Do u think I should put some sort of shield up ( EG A BRACKET with a large piece of sheet wood )
,,I have read the manual on here and i've tried to find out how to strengthen the signal but it doesn't say how to do it or what I need to do ??
on page 16 it just says in trouble shooting that with a dodgy picture I should strengthen signal but after reading it 3 times on every page' it does not say how to actually strengthen the signal' ??
do you know how to strengthen my signal ??
if so in not too complicated words can you tell me how to do it please ??
I think it has something to do with going into my settings but which ones ive got no idea ,,I think its got something to do with putting im my exact longitude and latitude but that is so vague ..
anyway if u think I should just leave it and put a shield up say tomorrow once the weather has improved ,,or should I try and tweak it??
im a bit worried cos I dnt wana mess it up completely

same answer as in all your previous threads on the same subject

like this one here

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?169362-spiderbox-help-6000hd-signal-goes-when-i-turn-motor-back-on

if it was all in alignment and the dish + motor + spiderbox were all set up correctly you would have no problems

to answer this specific question, a shield "may" help you but as the wind blows in all kinds of directions with vortices its actually unlikely to help

as in the previous thread I linked to, you have to decide if you are using usals (with your latitude and longitude put into the box) , or diseqc v1.2 where you have to do it all yourself, on each satellite, and save the result , but despite the previous thread its clear you have learned nothing then , or since then

a set of long explanations was in that previous thread several months ago, plus the one before that

the advice will never change, but what needs to change is your understanding of the problem and learning how to fix it yourself, or you ask your "mate" around if he is still speaking to you after you "calling him out" in public, or you pay a professional to realign it all and put the correct details into your box

I cannot make it any plainer than I did last year , what you do about it is up to you - you were also told to write all this down last november !

the weather could have caused your problems, a knowledgeable person with tools and ladders and experience could solve those problems , unfortunately for you I dont think you are that person, but I am willing to be proved wrong should you manage it yourself

paying a professional is the easy way out , because when you pay for a service, you get what you pay for, or you dont pay them

I doubt that its your spiderbox at fault, despite you having posted in this spider 6000 section , for the fourth time

see this previous quote of mine in your last thread about it in oct 2014

already explained months ago here

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?168276-how-do-i-fine-tune-my-hd6000-spiderbox-(-SAT)-signal-strength-ok-qual&p=913316

and here too

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?167497-6000-hd-spiderbox-%28poor-signal-or-poor-picture-quality%29

until you actually sort it out properly, nothing will change

so thats may and august and october 2014, and now feb 2015 too , 4th thread, nothing learned

You have to start from square one, is your dish lined up, (on the right sat) pick a fta channel to get started, once your on the right sat you can deal with the encryption probs.

If you are not technically minded with computers and basic electronics you might struggle setting up a spiderbox, get stuck in or pay someone to fix it for you.

" get stuck in or pay someone to fix it for you. "

It may very well be the latter, and hopefully he pays attention to what whoever does the dish setup etc, so that he will be able to do any future realignment if it is needed, and therefore learn something and save himself some money .
