Hi just a quick question,

Does anyone know the difference between the Mini Combo HD and the SE variant, been searching around for a while and nothing's come up.

Cheers

Both are still current models, just mentioned as some think the SE is a replacement for but that's not case, it's in addition to. the Mini Combo HD is the original mini sized case with front LED display showing channel number only and original type on-screen display, with the usual WebTV, YouTube and You**** options though ideally will want a WiFi adapter if you are to use it with these, at least for best performance but still perfectly functional as is course. It comes with an IR Eye and stick pads which means it could be hidden out of sight on the back of a TV for example, though you don't have to use the IR Eye, it can still happily site under a TV and work with remote on the conventional way.

The Combo SE uses a newer later chipset which means it's faster over all operation including Ethernet port, has the new style on screen display and is much more suited to streaming capabilities including the usual WebTV, YouTube, You**** and a nice touch with built in "Big2Small" server which lets you stream from the receiver to and Android device over your local network as well as change channel etc. The Combo SE is a slightly larger case than the Mini (but sure not large at all), with no IR Eye it is designed to sit under the TV or on a shelf etc., it also has front VFD display in this case which is able to display channel names, menu sections etc.
