Is the SPDIF on the box Optical Out?

I'm getting a soundbar which only has Optical in. My TV Doesn't have Optical Out. Is this port Optical Out, and would I be able to connect my soundbar to the Spider in this way?

connect to your box I have
one from sound bar then the other one into the spiderbox mate my work great
then change the setting on tv to get the sound bar working

Very strange this after looking at the manual which sates it has SPDIF on page 1 and then on page 3 it clearly shows the connection to an amp and says Coaxial but on images uploaded it clearly shows the 6000 to have an Optical output. Very misleading indeed
